related products to MIL-STD-461D thru G, RTCA DO-160D thru G, as

This testing involved Radiated and Conducted Emissions, Radiated and

Performed Radiated and Conducted Emissions / Radiated and Conducted Susceptibility and ESD testing on various products to MIL-STD 461/462 and RTCA DO-160 requirements. Other duties included writing test summaries, as well as offering assistance in resolving customer failures.
Contracted by Key Safety Systems, Inc. in Lakeland, FL to perform ESD tests on Airbag Inflator modules. Testing was performed to GM automotive EMC specifications as required and was performed using a NoiseKen ESS 2000 ESD Simulator.
Contracted to write Ford EMC Test Plan for Key Safety Systems, Inc. in Hamlin, MI for Teleflex shifter. Test Plan was written to Ford's EMC Test Specification ES-XW7T-1A278-AB.
Performed pre-compliance testing and consulting for Honeywell on the Wabco Train controller. The testing consisted of radiated immunity to IEC 61000-4-3 standard. The testing was performed in an EMCO 5305 GTEM cell and using an EMC Automation Test System and AR Isotropic probe. Worked with design engineer to mitigate immunity failure issues on controller prior to accompanying unit to certified EMI test lab for final compliance testing.
In charge of EMI/EMC Laboratory to conduct EMI/EMC testing on automotive safety restraint systems and components to meet individual automotive standards. Responsible for writing EMC Design Verification requirements as well as the final EMC Product Verification report. Additional duties included milling prototype PCB's for new product, maintaining calibration of current test equipment, EMI testing for third-party companies and working with engineering on other non-emc projects.
